Five Two Harbors businessmen sigh the articles of incorporation for a new mining company called Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing. The 3M Corp.,which today employs more than 70,000 people worldwide and produces more than 50,000 adhesive, household and other products,is born. its headquarters are now in St. Paul.
